VP283594 – Design of Casino to Bentley Section of the Northern Rivers Rail trail including Ancillary Works

Closing Date: Thursday 3 February 2022 - Closed

The Northern Rivers Rail Trail (NRRT) is 130 kilometres of proposed recreational trail that follows the disused Casino to Murwillumbah railway corridor. The trail is a significant Nature
Based tourism and recreational infrastructure project that will secure NSW position in the growing Rail Trail market.

The Casino to Bentley section is Stage 2 of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail (NRRT), an iconic tourism and recreational asset for the Northern Rivers region. This section will deliver significant economic, social and environmental outcomes for the Richmond Valley. The trail will attract visitor expenditure, improve regional health outcomes and directly facilitate an
active and alternative form of transport for residents and communities in the region. The project will preserve key heritage infrastructure and create a natural wildlife corridor, whilst
strengthening the connection between tourism and conservation.
