Richmond Valley Council owns four public swimming pools within the local government area being Casino Memorial Pool, Coraki Public Pool, Woodburn Public Pool and the Evans Head Aquatic Centre.

Casino Memorial Swimming Pool
** Please note the Casino Memorial Swimming Pool is closed while it undergoes extensive upgrades***
Work has started on the Casino Memorial Pool upgrade. Stage one is valued at $6.68 million and will deliver:
- A new eight-lane, 50m heated pool with an all-ability access ramp and stairs.
- A toddlers splash pool
- Refurbishment of the existing plant room and new filtration infrastructure for the 50m pool
- A new plant room and filtration infrastructure for the splash pool
- Relocation of the existing water slide
- Shade structures at each end of the 50m pool and over the toddlers/splash pool
- New concrete concourses and all ability access ramps
- Installation of an electrical substation, electrical switch room and floodlighting
The first stage is expected to be completed in late 2023.
Term four lessons
Richmond Valley Aquatics is taking books for term four swimming lessons. With the Casino Memorial Swimming Pool closed for renovations, learn-to-swim and squad lessons will be running out of Evans Head, Woodburn and Coraki.
- Evans Head learn-to-swim will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday afternoons and Tuesday morning. Parents and bubs will be a Friday morning, squad will be on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon.
- Woodburn learn-to-swim will be running on a Monday and Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Parents and bubs on Saturday morning, squads will be running every afternoon.
- Coraki learn-to-swim will be running on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and Wednesday morning. Parents and bubs will be on a Wednesday morning.

Coraki Public Pool
A friendly little complex, the Coraki Pool features a 14.4 metre lap pool, 7.7 metre splash pool and baby pool, surrounded by bench seating and a cute and cozy grandstand.

Evans Head Aquatic Centre
Built in 2010, Evans Head Aquatic Centre is the only pool in the Richmond Valley open year-round. A great place for events, the pool complex has a gym, 25 metre lap pool and vibrant kid’s play pool surrounded by amphitheatre seating and accompanied by BBQs.

Opening hours – pool
From Saturday 11 July 2020 the Evans Head Aquatic Centre opened under the new management of Richmond Valley Aquatics, with the following winter hours:
- Monday to Friday: 6am–8am for lap swimmers and from 10am–6pm for the general public.
- Saturdays: 10am–5pm
- Sundays: During school holidays the pool will be open 12pm–5pm to the public

Gym is now 24-7
The gym facility at the Evans Head Aquatic Centre opens from Monday 3 August under the management of Fosfit 24-7 Health Centres. It is now a 24-hour, 7 days a week facility. Entry cost and membership are separate from the pool facility. Fitness Passport is accepted.
