The Richmond Valley is a close-knit, regional community of approximately 23,000 people across 3,407 square kilometres in two towns, four villages and numerous rural localities. Richmond Valley Council’s community vision, as decided by our community through our community engagement processes and expressed in Council’s Community Strategic Plan, Richmond Valley Made 2030, is for a great community with a relaxed lifestyle, beautiful environment and vibrant economy.
Council works with community groups and service providers to make sure everyone in our community has access to the resources they need:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community information
- Accessibility for people with disability and older people
- Volunteering in the Richmond Valley
