ePlanning & Spatial Viewer

ePlanning is the electronic lodgement of:

  • development applications (DA) (including modification and review of determination)
  • post consent certificates (such as construction certificates (CC), occupation certificates (OC), subdivision certificates), and
  • complying development certificates (CDC),

via the NSW Planning Portal.

From 1 January 2021, Richmond Valley will subscribe to this electronic lodgement system for all the above applications but also Local Government Act (Section 68) and Roads Act (Sections 125 & 138) approvals.

Note.  Applications can continue to be lodged via traditional methods (post, over the counter etc.) until 1 July 2021 after which time the only method of submitting applications will be via the Portal.

Making sure that your electronic documents and attachments meet our Electronic Application Lodgement Matrix and Checklist  (this includes how you should name, save and the recommended file types) will help Council process your application quicker.

ePlanning Spatial Viewer

The ePlanning Spatial Viewer is the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment’s new digital mapping service. It provides up-to-date information on how planning controls and other planning matters affect a given property and the surrounding area. The service was launched in May 2019 as part of the redesign of the NSW Planning Portal.

NSW Six Maps Spatial Information Exchange

The SIX Maps viewer provides access to a range of NSW primary spatial data through an intuitive public interface. Product for viewing on this site include:

  • Cadastral
  • Topographic
  • Imagery
  • Place Names and
  • Addressing data.
