Water and Sewer – Monitoring Data

Sewage Treatment Plant monitoring

Council operates three Sewage Treatment Plants which are licenced by the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) in accordance with the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 (POEO). A requirement of the licences is that the Licensee make publicly available any monitoring data as well as the Pollution Incident Response Management Plan (PIRMP). The monitoring requirements are set by the EPA and are specific for the activities being undertaken.

For the Sewage Treatment Plants, quality data for Casino, Coraki and Evans Head is available in Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheets on the individual STP pages have both historical and current data.

Water Treatment Plant monitoring

Council also operates a Water Treatment Plant in Casino. Whislt the site does not require a licence or monitoring by the EPA, Council supplies the following data for consumers information which is available on the Water Treatment Plant page. The testing is undertaken at a NATA-accredited environmental analysis laboratory which analyses the water samples.
