Community Financial Assistance Program

Community Financial Assistance Program

Does your community organisation have a great idea for a community project or program in the Richmond Valley?

Apply to Council’s Community Financial Assistance Program.

Community Financial Assistance is available to support local activities and projects which:

  • benefit the local community
  • help community groups achieve their goals
  • support Council’s Community Strategic Plan

Grants can be for as little as $100 and up to $5000.

There are two rounds per financial year: Round 1, usually open August/September; and Round 2 in March. Council allocates approximately $40,000 in total for each round. These funds are allocated in accordance with Section 356 of the Local Government Act 1993 and Council Policy No. 1.2 – Community Financial Assistance Program.
