The towns of Kyogle and Casino are on the edge of the Cane Toad biosecurity zone, with the toads now spreading about 20km west into the Richmond Range, marking the western invasion frontline in NSW. BRRVLN, supported by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and North Coast Local Land Services, is working on cane toad control and community engagement in the zone.
BRRVLN has employed Cane Toad control officers and is assisting private landowners with traps and resources for cane toad control through public education. For more information, refer to the Cane Toad booklet.
