Are you looking to plant something symbolic of good fortune? Then look no further than the Bells of Ireland, also known as Shell Flower. Dating back to the 1500s this unusual fast growing annual produces tall green flower spikes with tiny white flowers surrounded by pale green cup shaped calyxes resembling bells. They can be enjoyed as fresh cut flowers for up to two weeks or as a dried flower for much longer.
Bells of Ireland seeds are now available at the library.
