VP407583 – Upper Cherry Tree Road Landslip Design & Construction

Closing Date: Friday 10 May 2024 - Closed

This tender has been called to engage a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to design and construct road repairs to a landslip on Upper Cherry Tree Road.

Following the February and March 2022 floods, Council constructed a bypass around the slip to reinstate access for residents and property owners north of the slip.

Essential Public Asset Restoration (EPAR) Claims have been made for the repair of flood damage to this site under NSW Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

During the February and March 2022 floods, a landslip formed on Upper Cherry Tree Road washing away approximately a 60m section of road. The site is located approximately 1.3km off Upper Mongogarie Road and 21.6km from the Summerland Way.

Upper Cherry Tree Road is a Council B Class unsealed general access no through road running from Upper Mongogarie Road 6.3km north west. Council does not have recent traffic counts in this area but predicts the Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) is 50 vehicles per day, with 3% of that being heavy vehicles. Upper Cherry Tree Road services as a primary production and local resident route.
