Richmond Valley Regional Job Precinct

The Richmond Valley Regional Job Precinct will investigate the Casino area to unlock new industrial lands and create more jobs for the region.

Plans for Richmond Valley

Located at the intersection of the Bruxner Highway and Summerland Way, Casino and the broader Richmond Valley are home to established industries ripe for investment.

The NSW Government is working closely with Richmond Valley Council, local businesses and communities to identify gaps and opportunities to improve local planning processes to develop a plan of action to unlock investment and growth opportunities, delivering stability and creating jobs for communities across Richmond Valley.

The Richmond Valley Regional Job Precinct will catalyse opportunities to create new jobs in the agriculture, manufacturing and renewable energy sectors. The precinct will assist with business diversification by identifying value-adding opportunities for existing industries and local producers.

Community update

The NSW Government’s Richmond Valley Regional Job Precinct draft master plan is nearing completion. The master plan will set out a strategic planning framework that removes barriers for industries and businesses seeking to establish or expand to create more highly skilled jobs and boost the local economy.

The master plan will outline the precinct’s long-term vision for attracting new investment as well as supporting existing or approved development, including the Casino Food Co-op and industrial area at Nammoona.

The Richmond Valley Regional Job Precinct draft master plan will be publicly exhibited later this year.
