The NSW Electoral Commission was selected by Council to manage the 2021 Local Government Election on December 4.
16,469 residential and non-residential electors were enrolled in the Richmond Valley Council area on 25 October 2021.
The following elections were held:
- Election of a Mayor
- Election of six Councillors for the entire Council area.
Robert MUSTOW (IND) was declared elected as Mayor on 21 December 2021.
The following candidates were declared elected on 23 December 2021:
