Richmond Valley Council is seeking Tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced Tenderers for the design and supply of all materials, plant, and labour for the construction of the proposed replacement span of Broadwater Bridge.
The scope of works includes, but is not limited, to the following:
a. Additional investigations, survey (survey will be required to ensure compatibility of the replacement span with the existing structure), preliminary design and documentation, for review by the Principal.
b. Design and certification of all staging plans to facilitate your proposed staging, demolition, and construction methodology. Any staging plans referenced in the tender documentation are for information only and if adopted by the Contractor must be checked and certified by your suitably qualified road designer.
c. All required permits and approvals to undertake the Contract works.
d. preparation and implementation of construction management plans for environmental, safety and quality (including inspection and test plans) aspects of the works.
e. Site establishment.
f. construction and maintenance of temporary construction access and other facilities, where required.
g. All required vegetation clearing, if required.
h. Installation of appropriate erosion and sediment control measures.
i. Establishment of approved traffic / pedestrian management arrangement and maintenance of the measures during the construction period.
j. Searching for, protecting, and relocating public utility services.
k. Maintenance of any required sidetracks or diversions to facilitate your construction methodology and staging plans.
l. All temporary works including design.
m. Demolition and disposal of existing components.
n. All required Bridge construction.
o. Pavement markings.
p. Supply of all materials, plant, and labour necessary for the works.
q. Re-vegetation of disturbed areas.
r. Provision of practical completion information, including but not limited to, as constructed drawings and certification of works.
s. All other work which the Contractor is or may be obliged by the terms of the Contract to undertake together with any work which is necessary or incidental to the work and all associated coordination and supervision of such work.
Work under the Contract also includes developing and implementing the following project specific management systems:
• Work health and safety
• Environmental Management
• Quality assurance
• Workplace Relations
• Records Management
