The Local Government Act 1993 requires a council to adopt a Councillor Expenses and Facilities Policy no later than 12 months after a local government election. Council now presents the draft policy to the community and invites submissions on the draft document.
A copy of the draft Councillor Expenses and Facilities Policy is available for members of the community to view on Council’s website with hard copy documents available at Council’s administration offices for in-person viewing.
Council invites the community to view these documents and lodge any submissions by Monday 18 August.
Submissions – Any person may make a written submission during the exhibition period by sending it to Richmond Valley Council by:
