Fluoride facts
The fluoride used in water fluoridation has no detectable taste or smell and does not alter the appearance of drinking water. It is not necessary to take specific fluoride supplements.
Council worked with the NSW Department of Health, via the North Coast Area Health Service and the “Teeth for Life” Program to promote this public health initiative. For further information, download the document ‘Water Flouridation Information’ and ‘Nutrient Reference Values – Fluoride’.
