THERE’S plenty of buzz around town as the trucks roll in for this year’s North Coast Petroleum Casino Truck Show this weekend.
550 trucks will fill the streets, and the excitement is building as the greatest truck show in the southern hemisphere builds even more.
The entertainment will start with Friday Night Lights, with trucks from across the country lit up in a spectacular display, live entertainment from Thor Phillips and band and food from local eateries.
On Saturday we shift into top gear, with the Dawsons Haulage parade starting at 10am, filling the streets with some of the best rigs in the country. There’ll be live music from popular bands Country Mud and Pink Zinc, as well as plenty of activities for the family, including amusement rides, entertainers, and face painting. There’s also plenty for the trucking community to see with exhibitors showcasing the best in industry-related products and services.
It all finishes with the best trucks in the country being awarded with the Brown and Hurley trophy presentation from 3pm with more than $60,000 in cash and prizes on offer.
The night is complete with J&J Rodeo putting on a massive bullride and live music under the roof of the Casino Showground arena.
The day is unlike any other in the area, and we can’t wait to see the streets filled again to make this year’s Casino Truck Show the best ever.
