The Office of Local Government has released an updated Model Code of Meeting Practice. Under section 360 of the Local Government Act 1993, Council is required to adopt a Code of Meeting Practice which includes the mandatory provisions of the Model Code. Adoption of an updated Code of Meeting Practice including the mandatory provisions is required by 31 December 2025.
Council now presents the draft Code of Meeting Practice to the community and invites submissions on the document. Please lodge any submissions by 5 December 2025.
