Council is repairing a flood-damaged footpath that leads to Sharks Beach in Evans Head.
The damage was caused by the high volume of rain experienced, where water washed across the road and scoured the material below the footpath, and created a gorge down the embankment to the river.
The repair work method will be hampered due to the nature of the site, the location and the steep embankment.
The repair method involves placing rocks with a mixture of dew fabric and keeping it into the existing material, which will stabilize the slip zone.
Council thanks residents for their patience as we undertake this important work.
