Casino Truck Show drives support for our community

Article published: 4 September, 2025

THE North Coast Petroleum Casino Truck Show’s continued success will enable it to make donations of $26,000 to support local and national organisations.

The 2025 charity partners for the Casino Truck Show are Get Yourself Checked, Westpac Rescue Helicopter Services, Flanno for a Farmer, Casino Youth Hub, CFD Foundation and St Mary’s Primary. As the principal charity, Get Yourself Checked received $12,000, which they will use to continue their mission to get Aussie blokes to take charge of their health and get tested for prostate cancer. The Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Flanno for a Farmer received $4000 each, with the Casino Youth Hub, CFD Foundation and St Mary’s Primary given $2000 each.

The money was raised from a live auction of a custom-made 2.4m x 2.4m bar, donated by Moore Trailers Pty Ltd, and a 16-inch air cans canister kit, including stainless-steel bowl and double filter system, donated by Air Cans Australia, and was won by Jon Kelly, from Heavy Haulage Assets.

Spokesman for the Casino Truck Show volunteer organising committee, Darren Goodwin, said that it was an important part of the Truck Show to support the communities that supported them.

Mr Goodwin said the trucking community’s support, both nationally and internationally, had propelled the event to its current success, and the Casino Truck Show was glad to give back to organisations that bring awareness and help to them.

“We’re also very proud to give back to our local community, who have embraced this event as their own and allow it to grow into one of the premier regional events in the country,” Mr Goodwin said.

“We’d like to thank Scott Gollan of Moore Trailers, and Dave Hunt of Air Cans Australia for their support of the auction, and to Jon Kelly of Heavy Haulage Assets for his generosity as the winning bidder.

“We are looking forward to continuing these partnerships and donations into the future.”

The recently held 2025 North Coast Petroleum Casino Truck Show was a resounding success, attracting more than 40,000 attendees, including industry leaders, families, and enthusiasts from across the country and abroad.

This year’s event was held over two days, Friday 1 August and Saturday 2 August, due to the inclusion of Friday Night Lights – an amazing display of big, bright rigs in the Casino CBD, as well as live entertainment, enjoyed by thousands of people, including many families.

The 2025 event generated an estimated $4.98 million in expenditure over the weekend, giving a much-needed boost to local businesses.

Planning is already underway to further enhance the Casino Truck Show, which has become a cornerstone event in the local and regional community calendar, with next year’s show scheduled for Saturday 1 August.
