Council is looking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to prepare a Casino CBD Masterplan and supporting guidance, in accordance with the key directions established in the Casino Place Plan.
The Masterplan will be an integral component of Council’s strategic planning framework (see figure 1), which aims to achieve the following outcomes:
- A clear vision for future growth of Casino’s residential, commercial and industrial CBD precincts
- A clear direction for future land use planning in Casino
- Agreed community priorities for place-making and social infrastructure
- Agreed priorities for future capital investment in infrastructure and community facilities
- Increased opportunities for economic development and job creation
- Increased housing options to meet community needs
