This tender has been called to engage a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to design and construct a replacement bridge over a tributary to Myrtle Creek on Elliotts Road, Myrtle Creek. The current structure has a timber deck, timber girders and timber abutments. The Bridge deck is approximately 7.9m long and 4.3m wide. The distance between top of deck and water/ground level is approximately 2.5m.
The existing timber bridge has significant structural damage and requires replacement with a modular concrete structure compliant to AS5100. The current width of the unnamed bridge on Elliotts Road must be maintained, and armoury must be beyond existing creek. The bridge design sees the footprint of the bridge on the same alignment as the existing structure. All road works are to be part of the tender and details of the road alignment are in Attachment 1. A side-track will be required for access during construction.
