Resource Recovery Collection Satchel

Resource Recovery Collection Satchel

These free satchels are available for collection from customer service outlets such as the Libraries, the Waste facilities, Council Customer Service Centre and Council Community Facilities.

Place these items in your resource recovery collection satchel:

  •  household batteries
  •  reading glasses
  • printer cartridges
  • CDs and DVDs
  • X-rays
  • wine corks

Resource Recovery Collection Satchels are no longer accepted in the Yellow lidded bin as we are now sending our recyclables to Polytrade’s Material Recovery Facility (MRF) at Chinderah.

But we still encourage you to continue to collect problem household wastes and place them into the satchel and drop them off to either Nammoona Waste and Resource Facility or Evans Head Transfer Station.

Richmond Valley is committed to keeping hazardous household waste out of our kerbside collection so that problem waste can be recycled or disposed of responsibly.

Nammoona Waste and Resource Facility is open:
Monday – to – Sunday 8.30am – 4.30pm
All facilities are closed on all public holidays.

Evans Head Transfer station is open:
Wednesday / Friday / Saturday and Sunday 8.30am – 4.30pm
