Richmond Valley Council is experiencing vandalism and breaking and entering to the buildings and properties under its control. The cost to the community for equipment replacement, cleaning and repairs has risen dramatically in recent years. The community can assist Council in preventing these crimes by reporting all incidents to the Police. If you see a crime being committed with suspects on the site please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. If you are a victim of a crime, other than life threatening or time-critical emergency situations, you should contact the Police Assistance Line 131 444.Types of crime you can report to Police Assistance Line include:

  • Break and Enter
  • Fail to Pay for Fuel (service stations only)
  • Motor Vehicle/Vessel Theft
  • Stealing
  • Malicious Damage, including Graffiti
  • Minor Motor Vehicle Crashes*
  • Lost Property
  • Taxi Fare Evasion

*No vehicles required towing, no one was injured, all parties exchanged details, no one was under the influence of alcohol or drugs
