Proposal to close Council Public Road: Part Foy Street Casino

Richmond Valley Council proposes to close part of a Council public road. This closure supports the proposal to acquire part of 6 Foy Street, Casino for the construction of a cul-de-sac on Foy Street, supporting road safety improvements.

The below map identifies the part of Council public road proposed for closure (shown in yellow/orange).

Upon closure of the road, Council intends to dispose of the land marked “A” shown in yellow to the adjoining owner.

Upon closure of the road, Council intends to retain the land as operational land marked “B” shown in orange.

What should you do now?

Please consider the proposal and provide a response to Richmond Valley Council within 28 days (Wednesday 13 September).

Send your submission to:  Richmond Valley Council, Locked Bag 10, CASINO, NSW 2470 with correspondence marked ‘Proposed Road Closing – Foy Street’ or email: council@richmondvalley.nsw.gov.au .

What happens next?

If Richmond Valley Council does not receive a reply within the specified 28-day period, it will assume that you concur and have no objections to the proposal.

Please advise Richmond Valley Council within the 28-day period if you require additional time to consider your position.

Once the submission period is completed, Richmond Valley Council will consider all duly made submissions and decide on road closure suitability.
