Draft Community Participation Plan and associated amendment to the Richmond Valley Development Control Plan 2015

Preparation of a Community Participation Plan (CPP) is a new requirement for Council under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (the Planning Act).  Richmond Valley Council’s Community Participation Plan guides how and when it engages the community across a range of development assessment and strategic town planning functions it performs under the Planning Act, and how the community can have its say.

Richmond Valley Council has prepared a Draft Community Participation Plan, and an associated Draft Development Control Plan Amendment.  The DCP Amendment will remove advertised development requirements from Richmond Valley Council DCP 2015, as these requirements will reside in the new Community Participation Plan.

Both Draft Plans are available for inspection during the exhibition period of 29 August 2019 to 27 September 2019.

The documents can be accessed via the links below, or at each of Council’s Administration Centres (during normal office hours) at-

  • Casino—10 Graham Place Casino
