This is a light, intriguing mystery with likable protagonists but possibly too many characters to keep track of.  Set in a Cotswold village, lead characters Monica Noble and her new husband Rev Graham work alongside DI Jason to solve this mystery.  The Rev, Monica and teen daughter CarolAnne are caught-up in a murder as the massive old village vicarage where they live is divided up into 12 new apartments.  The new vicarage apartments becomes a melting pot of the new neighbour’s past secrets and to try and restore harmony Monica throws a garden party to welcome everyone.  The garden party soon becomes less fun as one of new residents  – the much disliked Margaret Franklyn is found horribly murdered.  It’s up to Monica, the Rev and DI Jason to untangle lies and deceit to reveal the real killer before they escape.

I’d like to read the second book in the series. 5 Stars from me.
