Background

I was born and raised in Casino attending St Mary's Primary & High Schools and St John's College, Woodlawn.  After finishing school in 1989, I started work at the Hotel Cecil Casino then moved to the Newmarket Hotel in Mascot Sydney.  Then purchased with family members, the Village Green Hotel in Grafton.  After spending two years there I came back to Casino to George & Fuhrmann in 1994 where I completed my Stock and Station, Real Estate and Business Agent's License.  I became a Director and Licensee of the business.  In 2001, I purchased Capital Car Sales.

Hobbies/Interests

 Rugby league, jet skiing, motor racing, entertaining family and friends.

Objectives/Portfolios/Areas of Interest on the Council

One of my main interests is the economic development of the Richmond Valley.  We need this so we can attract all types of new business and help existing business throughout the whole Richmond Valley area.  I believe if we do this properly this will only enhance the Richmond Valley area and make it more attractive to businesses to establish and set up in Richmond Valley.  New business means more jobs which in turn means more spending in the area and this also will help existing businesses.  So I believe it is a win-win situation for the people of the Richmond Valley area.

I have been appointed to committees which will involve the Emergency Services, Traffic and Roads and I am really looking forward to working with the different organizations and getting to know their duties and responsibilities and what as a Council they expect from us.  These organizations are the ones that are there when we are in trouble, so I see them as very important organisations to the ratepayers of Richmond Valley.
