Background
Before moving to my present address, I was a dairy farmer. I am a mother and grandmother. In 1971 I became a Justice of the Peace and in 1990, a marriage celebrant.
I have always been interested and committed to the community, over and above my role as a councillor.
Hobbies/Interests
When time permits, I like to sew, knit, garden and read.
Objectives/Portfolios/Areas of Interest on the Council
I believe in creating a strong economic base in which to improve all areas of Richmond Valley Council. I look forward to a number of proposals coming to fruition, including Broadwater Sewerage Scheme, the Aged Care Facility and the Casino CBD upgrade. I see this as a way to bring new business and employment that will boost the Richmond Valley local economy.
Council needs to continue to lobby State and Federal Governments for extra funding/grant for various community projects.
All of the above can bring sound economic benefits for the entire council area.
Membership of Committees
In seventeen years as a Councillor, I have represented the community on many committees. My care and consideration to all matters of the community is well documented. I will continue that role.
